With the participation of the world famous opera singers from Zurich Opera House and other musicians we are able to plan these fund-raising Opera concerts:

Fundraising Opera Concert: August 25th and 27th, 2010
The Opera concert "The Three Sopranos" was performed at the Unitarian Churcg in Nantucket Island, MA to benefit Bulgaria's abandoned children. The performers were Junko Watanabe (soprano), Evelyn Thatcher (soprano), Hayden DeWitt (mezzo soprano), and pianist Mr. Roger Malouf (assistant conductor at The Metropolitan Opera, NY).

Fundraising event -- July 17th, 2009
Karina Association had its first fundraising event at Nantucket Island, MA. A portion of the film "Bulgaria's Abandoned Children" was shown at Coffin School, 4 Winter St., at 7pm. This was a free event open to the public. Guest speakers were Ms Kate Blewett, BBC journalist responsible for revealing the inhumane conditions of institutionalized children in Bulgaria. She presented short version of her documentary movie. Next speakers were Biliana Borimetchkova, founder and president of Karina Association, and Tihomir Stoytchev, the Bulgarian Deputy Minister from Washington, DC. Classical music concert and poetry was following the presentation. The music was played by Armen Ghazaryan (violin) and Robert Behrman (piano). The poetry was presented by the Irish poet Frank Cunningham.
